Para, a teenage girl living in bangladeshi Bethnal Green, sees two women embrace and kiss on a train platform. As she is trying to come to terms with this new idea of sexuality and the possibility of its relevance to her, she takes pleasure in a lesbian fantasy...

# Composition in Black & White - Director, Editor, Producer - 2008

3min Dance film. Screened in various festivals: Moves08, Manchester; Big Dance 2008, London; The Edinburgh Fringe, 2008.

It is a simple but striking short film conceived like an abstract painting, where choreography, editing and sound depend on and affect each other. Two men dance within frames, in turns ruled by and ruling a metronome.

9min Experimental film.

A young woman, Lara, is sick of consumerism, and of how most people don’t question these tracks made for them. Inspired by people who took power and rouse up, she rationalises her unshaped feeling of ill-being. She then urges people to take their lives back in their hands, and to fight this system that alienates them, leading to a - dreamed? - revolution.

4min Personnal documentary/essay. Screened at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2008 and Europa & Friends at CinéManivel, Redon, France.

A very personal film, about the tricky relationships between home and exile, and how unsettling living abroad can be. Home isn't really home anymore, but we are struggling to get to grips with the new place.
